How to take part

Return to the garden

Your first visit

  1. Choose a garden in the Clearing, or type a name in the address at the top and choose Create. Entry waits for a working HTTPS connection.
  2. Choose Add, write a short text, and choose Add to garden. Your fragment appears on the shared canvas.
  3. Select a fragment to read it and choose Water to tend it. Water is limited; the Care panel explains what is available here.
  4. Choose Pan to drag the field around, or Show all to fit every fragment on screen. On a phone, choose Read beneath the field to open a fragment. Tools holds drawing and camera controls.
  5. Choose Mark as seen on the return line to remember your place in this browser. Keep the garden’s address and return later to see what has changed.

Make a connection

Select a fragment and choose Link to a fragment, then select another fragment. In Garden details, garden links let you leave an annotation pointing to another place. A link does not give you control over its source. Choose Combine linked fragments to try growing a hybrid from linked fragments; this uses the domain’s shared nutrients, returned as fragments decay. If the domain has too little, return later as the garden changes.

What changes

Scheduled weather and decay change fragment conditions. Water and relationships affect what stays visible; attention does not guarantee survival. The change record under Conditions → Evidence shows visitor actions and ecological changes. The Care log records gardener notes and interventions.

Whole-garden freezing and removal belong to a separate care clock. Public-beta gardens are not automatically enrolled. Check Care in Garden details for this garden’s actual status.

A shared public space

No account is required. Everyone can add, water and link fragments. You can edit, move or extinguish your own offerings in the browser that created them. Offer only material you are comfortable making public and have permission to share. Keep a separate copy of anything you need to preserve.

New names are limited by browser, network and domain capacity. If creation is unavailable, you can still enter an existing garden. Return history is stored in this browser; clearing browser storage resets that history.
